Health Coaching

Support for women navigating burnout, overwhelm, and life in survival mode

Many of the women I work with are capable, caring, and used to holding everything together.

From the outside, life may appear stable. Responsibilities are managed, work gets done, and people rely on them.

But underneath the surface, their nervous system has often been operating under constant pressure for years.

They feel exhausted. Overwhelmed. Disconnected from themselves.

Sometimes they describe feeling constantly “on”, struggling to relax, or wondering why things that once felt manageable now feel so much harder.

Health coaching offers a space to pause, understand what your body has been navigating, and begin gently rebuilding balance.

When high-functioning becomes survival mode

Personal. Supportive. Built around your real life.

Many women assume their exhaustion is simply part of modern life.

But often the body has been living in fight or flight for far longer than it was designed to.

When the nervous system stays activated for long periods, it can begin to affect many areas of life, including:

  • sleep and energy levels

  • mood and emotional resilience

  • concentration and mental clarity

  • hormone balance and weight regulation

  • the ability to truly rest and recover

Over time, the body adapts to functioning in this state.

From the outside, it can look like coping.

Inside, the nervous system may simply be trying to keep up.

Understanding this pattern can be the first step towards meaningful change.

What health coaching offers

You don’t have to do this alone.

Health coaching is not about fixing you or giving you another rigid programme to follow.

It’s a supportive, collaborative process designed to help you:

  • understand what your body has been experiencing

  • reconnect with your own needs and capacity

  • create sustainable habits that support your wellbeing

  • reduce the constant pressure to keep pushing through

  • rebuild energy, resilience, and clarity

Rather than focusing on quick fixes, coaching looks at the bigger picture of your life — including stress, lifestyle, nutrition, mindset, and nervous system regulation.

The goal is to support realistic, sustainable change that works in the context of your life.

My Approach

My work combines my background in health coaching with a growing focus on nervous system health and stress physiology.

Over time, I have come to see how many health challenges are closely connected to the way our nervous system responds to prolonged stress.

Rather than focusing purely on surface-level lifestyle changes, my approach considers:

  • nervous system regulation

  • stress physiology

  • nutrition and metabolic health

  • lifestyle and environmental pressures

  • personal values and life alignment

This allows us to work in a way that supports your whole system — not just individual symptoms.

What coaching sessions look like

Coaching sessions are relaxed, conversational, and tailored to you.

This isn’t about being judged or told what you “should” be doing. Instead, it’s a supportive space to step back, explore what your body and life have been navigating, and begin creating changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

Depending on your needs, sessions may include:

  • understanding stress patterns and nervous system responses

  • exploring lifestyle habits and energy levels

  • identifying small but meaningful changes that support recovery

  • nutrition and lifestyle guidance

  • rebuilding confidence in your own decisions and priorities

The focus is always on creating sustainable changes that work within the reality of your life, rather than adding more pressure or expectations.

Who I typically work with

Health coaching may be particularly helpful if you:

  • feel constantly busy yet strangely exhausted

  • struggle to switch off or relax

  • feel overwhelmed by the mental load of daily life

  • notice your patience or emotional resilience has changed

  • feel disconnected from yourself or unsure what you need

  • want to create meaningful change but don’t want another extreme programme

Many women who reach out describe a sense that something in their life needs to shift — even if they’re not yet sure what that looks like.

Coaching provides a space to explore that gently and without judgement.

Based in Bath & Keynsham

I work with women across Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas, both online and through community events and workshops.

Many women first connect through local wellbeing events before exploring coaching support.

Others reach out after reading my writing or recognising themselves in my work around fight-or-flight survival mode.

A gentle reminder

If you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time, it’s understandable that your body may feel tired.

It doesn’t mean you’re failing.

Sometimes it simply means your nervous system has been working overtime for longer than it was designed to.

With the right support and understanding, change is possible.

And it doesn’t have to happen all at once.
